# 1.2 Supercomputing is the future

A blockchain is a decentralized, distributed and public digital ledger that is used to record transactions across many computers so that the record cannot be altered retroactively without the alteration of all subsequent blocks and the consensus of the network.

Supercomputing is the infrastructure for blockchain applications. It provides not only the data storage and data management, but also the super-capacity to solve the most business problems. AI, machine learning and deep learning need supercomputing to training the intelligent models which can do the prediction and recommendation.

In the future, computing capacity is power. BDCP is to build a decentralized supercomputing platform that support Blockchain, AI, SAAS and cloud servers. The Internet era had generated a huge amount of data, and will continue to generate more valuable data. So we need more computing resource to store, manage and use the data.

As a blockchain developer, practitioner, contributor, and builder, it is our responsibility to build a stable, scalable, and decentralized computing network.

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://bayesians.gitbook.io/bayesian/background-and-origin/1.2-supercomputing-is-the-future.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
